It is a project that I did with Jeremy Chen in 2019. We did this project to create a new form of storytelling. Chinese traditional shadow puppet show is something I am always interested in. I wanted to create a combination of traditional art and digital art. The project tells the story of HouYi, a character in Chinese mythology. The neopixel matrix on the back along with the led, skeleton shadow controlled by servos and solenoids would react accordingly to the story. Everything in this project is done with physical fabrication:(laser cutting and 3d printing) and Arduino programming.
